The 2013 Beijing International Minithlon has been confirmed for Saturday, 31 August at the traditional venue: the Radisson Blu Hotel in Chaoyang District. The day’s programme will largely mirror last year’s, with the Company Challenge and Family Relay as highlights. After the competition, there will again be a BBQ party in the hotel’s garden.
The 4th edition of the Beijing Minithlon, a mini triathlon race over 17,5 metres of swimming, 288m of cycling and 42, 195 metres of running, will build on the momentum from last year, when the newly introduced Company Challenge stirred up quite a bit of interest, media included. Each company team consists of 4 people and each member will compete against members of other teams in all the preliminary rounds. The final race, comprised of the five best teams, will again be held in relay format to increase the spectacle and emphasize the team aspect even more. Yes indeed, the Minithlon is a great team-building opportunity!
There will also of course be a competition for individuals, and the Family Relay is back on the cards, too. Last year, the event was held in pretty wet conditions, but people did not let rain spoil the fun. More details on the various competitions can be found on the designated webpage.
